Israeli soldiers invaded, on Tuesday afternoon, the al-Mughayyir Palestinian village, northeast of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and shot a Palestinian child with a live round in the head from a close range, causing a serious injury, before he was rushed to a local hospital where he died from his wounds.
(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Israeli soldiers invaded, on Tuesday afternoon, the al-Mughayyir Palestinian village, northeast of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and shot a Palestinian child with a live round in the head from a close range, causing a serious injury, before he was rushed to a local hospital where he died from his wounds.
Medial sources at Ramallah Governmental Hospital said the child, Laith Haitham Abu Na’im, 16, was rushed to surgery, and succumbed to his serious wounds a few hours later.
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers shot the child from a very close range, striking him with a live round in the head.
The child was shot after dozens of soldiers invaded the village, and attacked Palestinian protesters with gas bombs, rubber-coated bullets, concussion grenades and live rounds.
The Israeli military regularly opens fatal fire on Palestinians, accusing them of attempting to carry out stabbing attacks against its forces.
Human rights groups have repeatedly criticized the Tel Aviv regime for its policy of shoot-to-kill as a large number of the Palestinians killed at the scene of attacks did not pose serious threats to Israelis.
The number of Israeli attacks have sharply risen since the US President Donald Trump, on December 6, 2017, announced his decision to recognize Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital and relocate the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to the occupied city.
The dramatic shift in Washington’s policy vis-à-vis the city triggered demonstrations in the occupied Palestinian territories, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Morocco and other Muslim countries.
