Jailed Shiite cleric Sheikh Isa Al-Qaffas is reportedly among a group of detainees in Bahrain’s Jaw Prison who were transferred to solitary confinement.
AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Jailed Shiite cleric Sheikh Isa Al-Qaffas is reportedly among a group of detainees in Bahrain’s Jaw Prison who were transferred to solitary confinement.
Bahraini rights campaigner Ebtisam al-Saegh reported Sunday that four Jaw prisoners were thrown into solitary for committing irregularities.
According to Al-Saegh, conditions in solitary have led to detainees developing respiratory illnesses in the past.
Bahrain’s political prisoners are increasingly being subjected to recurrent and persistent isolation in detention.
