(AhlulBayt News Agency) - A research institute called “Rasul A’zam (PBUH)” will be launched by Al-Ameed International Research and Studies Center of the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine in Karbala, Iraq.
According to Al-Kafeel website, the new institute plans to conduct researches on the Seerah and character of the holy prophet (PBUH) taking a new academic approach.
The proximity of Islamic schools of thought and unification of Islamic discourse based on Nabawi studies is the main objective of the institute.
Adel Nadhir Beiri, who has been selected as the head of the institute said that the Nabawi Seerash should be revised based on the holy Quran which is believed by all Muslims as the true Word of God.
He added that the Divine Book precisely clarifies the Seerah of the holy prophet (PBUH) and helps to portray the true image of Islam to the world.
Sami Hamoud Al-Haj, the professor of Islamic history at Al-Mustansiriya University in Baghdad, also highlighted the important role of the institute in the introduction of the Nabawi Seerah through a modern point of view based on the Holy Quran.
