MARTYRDOM ANNIVERSARY OF PROFESSOR SIBT-E-JAFAR BEING OBSERVED TODAY

Fifth anniversary of martyrdom of renowned educationist, poet and writer Professor Sibt-e-Jafar is being observed today. He was assassinated on March 18, 2013.
Great Shia martyr Prof Syed Sibt-e-Jafar Zaidi was principal of a government degree college in Liaquatabad area of Karachi. Despite serving on the grade-19 post, he spent a simple life. He used to go to the college on his motorcycle. Apart from serving in the field of education, he was known as a writer and poet.
Among Shia Muslims, he was also known for his ‘soz khwani’ and marsias. He was very much popular hence his brutal targeted murder deeply shocked and grieved his admirers. He left behind a legacy that is being inherited by his pupils who revere him as ‘Ustaad.’
