The second edition of a cultural week named “Hazrat Abbas (AS)” is underway in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The second edition of a cultural week named “Hazrat Abbas (AS)” is underway in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
According to Kafeel website, the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine has organized the event in cooperation with the European Association for Friendship of Religions.
The programs of the week began on June 12 with the participation of a large number of intellectual, religious, cultural, social and seminary figures in Antwerp, Belgium.
A forum about the Astan was held as a part of the week’s programs in Belgium.
Cologne, Germany, has also hosted the week starting on June 13 with the participation of Zuheir Shurbah, representative of the European Association of Religions in Germany who addressed the opening ceremony of the week.
The first edition of the event was organized in 2018 on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sajjad (AS), the fourth infallible Imam, in the cities of Berlin, Frankfurt and Gottingen.
It aims to disseminate the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and introduce different religious, cultural and development projects of the Astan as well as the services provided by the Astan to pilgrims and the Iraqi people.
