SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN FOR RELEASE OF MISSING SHIA MUSLIMS LAUNCHED

The Shia Missing Persons Release Committee has launched countrywide ‘signature campaign’ to raise the issue of missing Shia citizens of Pakistan who are believed to have been subjected to enforced disappearances.
The main venues for signing the petition to demand release of victims of enforced disappearance are: Jamey Masjid Noor-e-Eeman Nazimabad and Jafaria Masjid Gulbahar in Karachi; Qadam Gah Maula Ali (AS) Hyderabad; Jamey Masjid Imamia Hall Saddar Cantonment Lahore.
Senior and eminent religious scholar Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain, Maulana Syed Haider Abbas Zaidi, other scholars and office bearers of the Shia Missing Persons Release Committee welcomed the visitors who expressed solidarity with the victims and their families. They demanded immediate release of all those Shia Muslims who were subjected to enforced disappearance.
