Israeli soldiers attack, injure dozens of Palestinian students in al-Khalil

Dozens of Palestinians students and teachers suffered from tear-gas inhalation, on Sunday, after Israeli forces attacked them while participating in a peaceful rally commemorating the 14th anniversary of the death of late Yasser Arafat, in al-Khalil (Hebron), in the southern occupied West Bank.
AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Dozens of Palestinians students and teachers suffered from tear-gas inhalation, on Sunday, after Israeli forces attacked them while participating in a peaceful rally commemorating the 14th anniversary of the death of late Yasser Arafat, in al-Khalil (Hebron), in the southern occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, Israeli forces raided Tareq Bin Zayed boys school in al-Khalil (Hebron) during a peaceful rally to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the death of Arafat and fired tear-gas bombs and stun grenades at the students and teachers.
Sources confirmed that dozens of the students and teachers suffered from tear-gas inhalation, in addition to nausea and fainting.
The injured were treated at the scene by Palestinian medical crews.
The Palestinian Ministry of Education released its annual report for 2017 documenting the Israeli government's violations against Palestinian education, saying that 80,279 Palestinian children and 4,929 teachers and staff were "attacked" by Israeli settlers or soldiers.
According to the report, nine students were killed, while 603 students and 55 teachers and school employees sustained live or rubber bullets wounds during Israeli raids into schools or by being run over by Israeli military jeeps, while dozens of students suffered from suffocation due to inhaling tear-gas fired by Israeli forces against them.
