SHEIKH RASHID GETS MESSAGE IN TEHRAN FOR PAKISTAN TO CONTROL COMMON BORDERS

Pakistan Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid called on Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's adviser Ali-Akbar Velayati in Tehran where the latter emphasised Pakistan to care more in protecting its borders with Iran.
Although gossip mongering quarters in Pakistan had been suggesting something else regarding Shaikh Rashid’s Tehran visit, the statement from Iranian capital on yesterday meeting was different from rumours.
However, it may be clarified that veteran foreign policy heavyweight of Iranian establishment Velayati had not given that advice negatively but his words were: “Pakistan is a powerful country and is capable of controlling and protecting joint borders to end terrorist measures.”
