AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Dozens of Bahrainis convicted on ‘terrorism’ charges last week were reportedly greeted with beatings administered by the guards at Jaw Prison.

The London-based Bahrain Al Youm cited sources inside the prison who allege that the new arrivals were punched and kicked as soon as they entered the detention facility.
Allegations of abuse inside Jaw are nothing new. Detainees claim that they are subjected to systematic torture while being denied access to health care and even drinking water.
The injection of new inmates comes after Manama’s courts convicted more than 80 people in three separate ‘terrorism’ trials last Thursday.
Two defendants were sentenced to death, dozens were condemned to life imprisonment and 32 had their Bahraini citizenship revoked.
