(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Iranian First Vice President Es’hagh Jahangiri said Mon. that the United States government claim that it can force countries to cut Iranian oil imports to zero is unrealistic.
Es’hagh Jahangiri made the remarks on Monday in a meeting of the Resistance Economy Command Center a day after that he had announced Iran will allow private companies to export crude oil to thwart US efforts to block its oil exports.
“The continuation of oil exports indicates the victory of the Iranian nation against the US sanctions, and with the good planning and management of the Oil Ministry I hope we can see this huge success and prove that the US efforts to stop Iran's oil exports are in vain” Jahangiri said in Monday’s meeting.
On Sunday, the Iranian first vice president had announced that “Iran will offer its crude oil on the bourse and the private sector can export it,” as a way to circumvent the US sanctions.
He had also tacitly threatened Saudi Arabia not to increase its oil exports to replace Iran’s oil share in the global markets, saying that such efforts would be ‘a treachery against Iranian nation and the international community’ and they will have to pay the price for actions.
